About The Position
Avery Dennison is looking for a Machine Technician to join our coating team. In this role, you will lead the daily operations of a coating line, ensuring high-quality output while fostering a safe and collaborative environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED OR 3+ years of manufacturing experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using computer systems (ERP) for production flow.
- Ability to monitor close tolerances and maintain accurate production logs.
- A "team-before-self" mindset, willing to cross-train on different assets or support coworkers as priorities shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain active throughout your shift.
Responsibilities
- Lead the operation of the coater, including setups, changeovers, and equipment adjustments to meet production schedules.
- Use your curiosity to troubleshoot abnormalities and find root-cause solutions rather than "band-aid" fixes.
- Monitor gauges, meters, and flow ratios to ensure every product meets our "zero-defect" standards.
- Maintain a safe workspace, identifying and escalating issues immediately to protect yourself and your teammates.
- Direct tasks for your station, lead shift turnover discussions, and support team members to reach site goals.
