About The Position

Associated Thermoforming Inc. is seeking a dependable and motivated Forming Operator to join their day shift production team. This role involves operating forming machinery, making basic equipment adjustments, and ensuring finished products meet quality standards. The position offers growth opportunities through Levels 1-3 as employees develop technical knowledge and machine operation skills.

Requirements

• Willingness to learn machinery, processes, and new production skills.
• Ability to read and follow Process Instructions and production documentation.
• Basic computer skills for timekeeping and production entry.
• Ability to safely use applicable hand tools, power tools, and production equipment.
• Frequent standing and walking, bending, reaching, gripping, squatting, climbing, and repetitive hand movements.
• Frequently lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Safely climb in and out of approximately 48.5-inch-deep machine pits to assist with machine adjustments or repairs.
• Safely operate machinery and production equipment.
• Perform work requiring hand-eye coordination, depth perception, and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• Previous manufacturing, machine operation, thermoforming, or similar production experience is a plus.
• Mechanically inclined.

Responsibilities

• Operate forming machinery and monitor equipment throughout the production process.
• Perform production tasks including cutting, trimming, band sawing, deburring, sanding, cleaning, and packaging as required.
• Read and follow Process Instructions to ensure products meet established quality standards.
• Load and unload forming molds, fixtures, and parts with assistance when needed.
• Use routers, band saws, and other approved production tools and equipment.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance and mechanical adjustments based on training and experience.
