We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Thermoforming Machine Operator to join our cup manufacturing and printing operation. This position is responsible for operating thermoforming equipment that produces paper cups and lids, monitoring production quality, and ensuring products meet customer specifications before they move to the printing and packaging stages. The ideal candidate has manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three (3) years of manufacturing or related experience operating and/ or running plastics processing equipment (thermoforms)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • Effectively read and operate micrometer(s)
  • Ability to read work orders and follow written instructions
  • Basic math and measurement skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate thermoforming machines
  • Ensure correct material is being used against customer specifications
  • Lift and install roll shaft into roll, use hoist to put roll onto unwind stand, and feed material through thermoformed and trim press
  • Adjust machine settings, including temperature, speed, pressure, and cycle time
  • Must be able to identify and fix jammed material in grinder and put line back into production
  • Perform mold and tooling changes as required
  • Monitor equipment during production and make necessary adjustments.
  • Identify and separate defective or nonconforming products
  • Basic operator PM and/or equipment cleaning
  • Create shipping labels
  • Wrap palletized load
  • Keep the machine, work area, and production floor clean and organized
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Availability to work overtime as needed
