About The Position

Perfecto Staffing has a Grand Prairie partner with a need for a Thermoforming Machine Operator. This is a 1st shift, MON-FRI, 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Candidates must be willing to work overtime as needed, and be able to read and write in English. Bilingual, ENG/ESP, skills are preferred but not required. Starting pay is $20-$24/HR BOE. Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on experience setting up and operating thermoforming equipment (heavy-gauge sheet forming or thin-gauge packaging).
• Strong mechanical reasoning with direct experience in mold changeovers, heat tuning, and parameter optimization.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot process variations and equipment flaws efficiently.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work comfortably in a manufacturing environment.
• HS Diploma or GED
• 2 Years

Responsibilities

• Safely set up, start up, operate, and shut down thermoforming equipment, trim presses, and auxiliary machinery.
• Adjust heating zones, vacuum pressures, cycle times, and cooling rates to optimize part formation and cycle speed.
• Perform or assist with mold installation, alignment, base setup, and mechanical changeovers.
• Inspect formed parts using calipers, micrometers, or gauges to verify visual and dimensional specifications.
• Identify and resolve process defects (e.g., webbing, thinning, incomplete draws) and minor mechanical issues as they arise.
• Track daily production counts, complete shift logs, and potentially guide or mentor junior operators/packers on best practices.
