Thermal Simulation Engineer - Front End Air Flow (FEAF)

General MotorsWarren, MI
Hybrid

About The Position

The Thermal Execution Virtual Design Development Validation (VDDV) team at General Motors is a cutting-edge group that utilizes Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to lead vehicle development. They focus on integrated Front End Air Flow solutions and Thermal Management for both Electric Vehicles and Internal Combustion Engine Vehicles, covering under hood and underbody thermal protection. The team is currently focused on virtually validating Front End Airflow requirements and advancing transient simulation capabilities. The Thermal Execution VDDV Engineer – FEAF and Calibration Support will be responsible for building, running, and interpreting results from various vehicle front end airflow models. This role also involves supporting the Airflow calibration team by identifying processes and methods for virtual FEAF calibration and providing the necessary data to establish vehicle calibrations. The engineer will be part of a multidisciplinary team performing thermal and fluid flow simulations to influence vehicle and powertrain design.
