At General Motors, our product teams are redefining mobility. Through a human-centered design process, we create vehicles and experiences that are designed not just to be seen, but to be felt. We’re turning today’s impossible into tomorrow’s standard —from breakthrough hardware and battery systems to intuitive design, intelligent software, and next-generation safety and entertainment features. Every day, our products move millions of people as we aim to make driving safer, smarter, and more connected, shaping the future of transportation on a global scale. The Role The Thermal Execution Virtual Design Development Validation (VDDV) team is a cutting-edge team, utilizing Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), to lead the vehicle development from integrated Front End Air Flow solutions to Thermal Management for under hood/underbody thermal protection, for Electric Vehicles and Internal Combustion Engine Vehicles. The team is currently virtually validating Front End Airflow requirements and continuing to push the envelope as it relates to transient simulation capability. It is an exciting time to join the team! The Thermal Execution VDDV Engineer – FEAF and Calibration Support will build, run, and interpret results from various vehicle front end airflow models. The engineer will then also support the Airflow calibration team to identify processes and methods needed to support the FEAF calibration process virtually. They will also provide the needed data to establish calibrations for the vehicle. The engineer will join a multi-disciplined team of engineers who perform thermal and fluid flow simulations of varying complexity to drive the design of vehicles and powertrains.
