About The Position

SPEAR Physical Therapy is seeking passionate and team-oriented individuals to join their organization as Therapy Technicians. The mission is to help New Yorkers get back to life through five-star customer service in physical therapy and human interaction. As a Therapy Technician, you will support physical and occupational therapy care by preparing treatment areas, assisting patients, and performing procedures under the direct supervision of a Physical or Occupational Therapist.

Requirements

  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to multi-task.
  • A strong attention to detail and willingness to grow.
  • You are a team player!
  • Requires the manual dexterity and general strength and endurance

Responsibilities

  • Prepare the treatment areas for patient care.
  • Greet every patient who walks in and out of the office with a smile and you treat everyone in our practice with SPEARIT.
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service at all times.
  • Follow the company SPEAR-IT values. Service, Passion, Empathy, Accountability, Respect, Integrity, and Teamwork.
  • Show up ten minutes early and understand the urgency behind our patient's need for help and healthcare.
  • Actively listen to and proactively guide our patients through their exercises in accordance with Physical Therapists exercise prescription with direct supervision from the treating Physical Therapist.
  • Provide a clean and organized environment for patients, including laundry, supply of linens and cleans hydrocollators, cold pack machines and other equipment as necessary.
  • Support patient care by preparing treatment areas, gathering equipment and materials, and performing procedures under the direct supervision of a Physical or Occupational Therapist.
  • Execute a high standard of clinical excellence while maintaining 5-star customer service.
  • Foster a true community environment for both patients and team members; therefore, a collaborative spirit is valued to ensure everyone receives the care and support they need.
