About The Position

The Therapy Resident - Pelvic Health is responsible for providing safe and effective delivery of patient care including Examination, Evaluation, Diagnosis, Planning, Intervention and Establishing Outcomes.

Requirements

  • Physical Therapist licensure in the state of Minnesota or temporary license in the state of Minnesota
  • APTA Membership
  • Basic Life Support (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
  • Level One Pelvic Floor course or equivalent
  • Completion of Residency Interview process

Nice To Haves

  • Doctorate in Physical Therapy
  • Obstetrics course for pelvic therapist residents

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates and reassesses patient condition.
  • Determines plan of care.
  • Provides appropriate and effective interventions.
  • Supervises and directs appropriate members of rehab team.
  • Responsible for personal and professional development to ensure current knowledge required for position.
  • Develop a personal program of self-study and professional growth with guidance from the teaching faculty and staff.
  • Participate fully in the education activities of their program and as required, assume responsibility for teaching and supervising students and others as appropriate.
  • Participate, as appropriate, in PT related research opportunities and/or community outreach service projects.
