INphysics, a One Physics, Partner, is seeking a full time Therapy Medical Physicist based in Indianapolis, IN to join our growing team. Physicists must respond to diverse, complex questions, and drive our clients towards the highest standards for their radiation therapy and radiation safety programs. The Role We are searching for a highly skilled, compassionate Therapy Medical Physicist to join our dedicated team of experts. INphysics physicists work with state-of-the-art equipment to provide a range of radiation oncology services to keep a physicist engaged and ensure development of a well-rounded set of skills and growth in the industry. Physicists are supported by a dynamic support team known for a focus on building partnerships and a passion for excellence. Clinic Information: This position is based in Indianapolis.  This role is supported by 1 other physicists, 2 dosimetrists and 4 Radiation Oncologists. The facility is equipped with Varian, Monaco and Oncentra TPS with Mosaiq record and verify, as well as all Sun Nuclear Equipment for QA Excellent facility with amazing staff and Radiation Oncologists!

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree and/or PhD in Medical Physics.
  • A board certification by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Medical Physics, or board eligibility as demonstrated by graduation from a CAMPEP accredited residency in therapy physics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret regulations.
  • A willingness to go “above and beyond” for clients and fellow colleagues.
  • Demonstrate initiative, organization, and ownership of daily tasks and projects.
  • Ability to problem solve by seeking, developing, and implementing viable solutions.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of clinical Therapy Medical Physics experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform weekly and monthly radiation measurements, as well as yearly calibration on all treatment units.
  • Monitor equipment in the Radiation Oncology Department to ensure that it is functioning correctly and safely.
  • Maintain regulatory agency records and reports.
  • Analyze alternative treatment plans and supervise dosimetry treatment planning functions.
  • Implement assessment/treatment and care based on the developmental stages of the patient.
  • Perform additional duties, as needed.
