About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation is seeking a Therapy Technician to fill a full-time opening at their Outpatient facility in Plano. The ideal candidate will be an excellent team player, proactive, detail-oriented, and organized, with excellent communication skills to work with a large multidisciplinary team. This role involves assisting clinicians with direct patient care, infection control, equipment maintenance, patient transport, light clerical tasks, setting up patients for therapeutic activities, and facilitating exercise groups. The candidate must be hard-working, thrive in a fast-paced environment, be friendly, energetic, able to multitask, adaptable, and eager to learn and contribute to a positive team. A valid driver's license is required.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license
• BLS Certification or completion within 90 days of hire

Nice To Haves

• One or more years of hospital experience as therapy aide

Responsibilities

• Assistance to clinicians for direct patient care (transferring, toileting)
• Infection control cleaning
• Light equipment maintenance
• Driving routes to transport patients to and from clinic
• Assistance to front desk for light clerical tasks
• Setting up patients on therapeutic activities
• Facilitating exercise groups
• Other duties as assigned
