Therapy Aide
About The Position
Baylor Rehabilitation is seeking a Therapy Technician to fill our PRN opening at our Inpatient Facility in Dallas! This role involves assisting clinicians with direct patient care, including transfers and toileting, maintaining infection control through cleaning, performing light equipment maintenance, transporting patients to and from the clinic, assisting with light clerical tasks at the front desk, setting up patients for therapeutic activities, and facilitating exercise groups. The ideal candidate will be hardworking, thrive in a fast-paced environment, be friendly, energetic, able to multi-task, adaptable, and eager to learn and contribute to a positive team. A valid driver's license is required.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- BLS Certification or completion within 90 days of hire.
Nice To Haves
- One or more years of hospital experience as therapy aide preferred.
Responsibilities
- Rehabilitation tech in working with patients under a therapists' directions to help provide comprehensive rehabilitation.
- Assistance to clinicians for direct patient care (transferring, toileting).
- Infection control cleaning.
- Light equipment maintenance.
- Driving routes to transport patients to and from clinic.
- Assistance to front desk for light clerical tasks.
- Setting up patients on therapeutic activities.
- Facilitating exercise groups.
- Other duties as assigned.
