About The Position

Glen Oaks Hospital is a 54-bed private mental health hospital in Greenville, Texas, providing care for adults and seniors in a relaxed, homelike setting. Its multidisciplinary staff includes psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and therapists, and the hospital has provided mental health and chemical dependency care for over 30 years.

The Therapy Aide performs counseling and social services functions, helping patients meet biopsychosocial needs and access therapeutic treatment skills to support emotional health. The role includes teaching, delivering specialized clinical services to patients and families, crisis intervention, and providing information and referrals as needed. The aide also trains as a backup Court Liaison in the Therapy Department. The schedule is as needed, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., including weekends.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Counseling or a clinically related mental health field.
• At least one year of experience in related disciplines.
• Handle with Care and Verbal De-Escalation training within 30 days of appointment and before assisting in a restraining procedure.
• CPR certification; certification may be obtained during new-hire orientation.

• Behavioral health hospital experience is strongly preferred.
