About The Position
Medical Behavioral Hospital of Clear Lake is adding therapists to its clinical services team to provide care to patients and their families during recovery. The therapist provides daily individual and group counseling, treatment planning, and care coordination under the guidance of the Director of Clinical Services. Therapists are master’s-prepared clinicians focused on trauma-informed care, compassion, and patient safety.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW), Counseling, Psychology, or a related human services field.
- Experience developing and administering treatment plans.
- Knowledge of individual and group counseling techniques.
- Exceptional communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Provisional license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMHC.
- At least two years of clinical experience in behavioral healthcare or an acute psychiatric setting.
- Previous experience in an acute inpatient behavioral health hospital.
Responsibilities
- Manage overall treatment-planning efforts.
- Coordinate care conferences with families and providers and provide care updates to them.
- Address psychosocial needs and complete related documentation or tasks.
- Coordinate and facilitate development of discharge plans of care, including the complex discharge process.
- Ensure an exceptional care experience for patients and families.
- Provide daily individual and group counseling and care coordination.
