About The Position
Every day, children walk into school carrying challenges they shouldn't have to face alone—anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, family instability, behavioral concerns, and overwhelming stress. At RFS Behavioral Health, we believe no child should have to wait months for mental health support. That's why our therapists meet students where they are—in their schools, homes, and communities—providing timely, compassionate care that helps them succeed academically, emotionally, and socially. Our T.A.C.K.L.E. program is one of the most utilized school-based behavioral health programs in Northwest Ohio, built on real-time intervention, collaboration, and a commitment to removing barriers to care. We're growing in Defiance and are looking for a compassionate, dedicated therapist who is passionate about making a lasting impact in the lives of children and families.
Requirements
- Current Ohio LPC, LPCC, LSW, or LISW license (or license-eligible)
- Passion for working with children, adolescents, and families
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with schools, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality behavioral healthcare
Responsibilities
- Provide individual, family, and group counseling services
- Support children and adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, behavioral concerns, and other mental health challenges
- Develop individualized treatment plans focused on meaningful outcomes
- Collaborate with families, educators, medical providers, and community partners
- Connect families with valuable community resources
- Provide crisis intervention and ongoing therapeutic support
- Help students build resilience, confidence, healthy coping skills, and emotional well-being
