About The Position

The Therapist provides care at Lasting Hope Recovery Center, a 64-bed adult psychiatric facility with private rooms. The center offers treatment and prevention services for people experiencing mental illness and substance abuse, using patients’ personal strengths and support systems as part of treatment. The role delivers psychosocial and diagnostic assessments and psychotherapeutic care, including individual, group, and significant-other counseling and education. The Therapist reviews cases in peer supervision, works with the consulting physician and treatment team to develop treatment and discharge plans, and documents care according to charting policies and procedures. The position also supports quality of care and seeks ways to improve customer satisfaction. The posting offers a $4,800 sign-on bonus and $10,000 in educational assistance (loan forgiveness) to new hires who meet eligibility requirements.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or Social Work.
Active license in the state of practice: PLMHP, LMHP, LIMHP, PCMSW, CMSW, or CSW.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

Conduct individual, group, and significant-other counseling and education to help patients achieve defined treatment goals.
Provide psychosocial and diagnostic assessments and conduct psychotherapeutic sessions.
Review cases in peer supervision and help assure quality of care.
Collaborate with the consulting physician and treatment team to form comprehensive treatment plans and discharge plans.
Complete assessments, progress notes, group notes, and treatment plan updates in accordance with charting policy and procedures.
Seek ways to improve internal and external customer satisfaction.
