About The Position

Join Wasatch Behavioral Health as a Full-Time Youth Crisis Therapist with our CY-FAST (Children, Youth & Family Assessment Stabilization Team) in Provo, Utah, providing timely, community-based mental health support to youth and families during times of crisis. In this onsite and field-based role, you'll deliver emergent services in homes, community settings, or the Recovery Outreach Center, sometimes alongside law enforcement, while supporting stabilization through mobile outreach, respite, group therapy, and coordination of Medicaid hospitalizations. This position offers a competitive pay range of $28.50–$44.03/hour and the opportunity to work within a collaborative, mission-driven team dedicated to promoting mental, emotional, and physical wellness and making a meaningful difference when it matters most.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in social work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy.
  • Utah licensure as CSW, ACMHC, AMFT, LCSW, CMHC, or LMFT (or the ability to obtain it before starting).
  • Solid skills in clinical assessment, treatment planning, and providing therapy.
  • Comfortable working with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a team.
  • Reliable with documentation and maintaining professional standards.
  • Committed to ethical practice and ongoing learning.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to youth and family mental health crises in the community through mobile outreach and onsite services
  • Conduct crisis assessments, intakes, and psychosocial evaluations
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy focused on stabilization and wellness
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment and crisis stabilization plans
  • Coordinate and support Medicaid hospitalizations and discharge planning
  • Maintain and manage an assigned caseload with timely, accurate documentation
  • Collaborate with families, courts, hospitals, law enforcement, and state agencies as a clinical liaison
  • Participate in family team meetings and continuity-of-care coordination
  • Provide education, consultation, and support to clients, families, and community partners
  • Deliver services in homes, community settings, and the Recovery Outreach Center
