The Therapist works in Sheppard Pratt’s Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program, which provides comprehensive mobile treatment services to adults with persistent mental health illnesses who have not found success in traditional outpatient settings and need individualized treatment where and when it is needed. The role provides individualized treatment, sometimes using non-traditional therapeutic strategies, and meets clients where they are to help develop treatment plans grounded in trust and safety. The therapist collaborates with a multidisciplinary team, maintains clinical documentation as part of case management, and transports or accompanies clients to community resources and services. Work typically follows a Monday–Friday schedule, with availability for occasional evening or weekend work. The therapist has independence and flexibility in scheduling appointments and completing work, subject to the program director’s direct approval and supervision.
