The Therapist works in Sheppard Pratt’s Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program, which provides comprehensive mobile treatment services for adults with persistent mental health illness who have not found success in traditional outpatient settings and need individualized treatment where and when it is needed. The role involves meeting clients where they are and helping develop treatment plans grounded in trust and safety, sometimes using non-traditional therapeutic strategies to help clients feel comfortable. The Therapist works with a multidisciplinary team and has independence and flexibility to schedule appointments and complete work, subject to the program director’s direct approval and supervision. Work hours typically follow a Monday–Friday schedule, with availability required for occasional evening and/or weekend work.
