Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work (MSW) or a related field from a regionally accredited institution.
  • One year or three years perfered of clinical training or internship experience in community mental health, outpatient, school, or hospital settings.
  • Completion of licensure in Illinois as (AMFT, LSW, LPC) or related credential recommended within one year of employment or Licensure in Illinois as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW) perferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish skills preferred (must pass a bilingual assessment).
  • Training and experience in clinical assessments and outpatient psychotherapy.
  • Competence in providing culturally sensitive interventions to diverse clientele.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Interest and skill in networking and community outreach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and working within an electronic health record system (Outlook, Word, Teams).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Three years of clinical training or internship experience in community mental health, outpatient, school, or hospital settings.
  • Licensure in Illinois as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW) perferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing mental health services to adult and child clients, families, couples, and groups.
  • Conduct phone therapy, video telehealth, and face-to-face interviews for assessments and on-going therapeutic support as outlined in clients’ treatment plans. Sessions may be in office or in the community at clients’ homes.
  • Maintain case records and reports according to agency policies and state guidelines, Rule 132 and Rule 140.
  • Participate in case consultations and reviews with agency personnel and outside professionals.
  • Engage in development and planning activities for the Counseling Program.
  • Conduct clinical assessments and provide crisis interventions as needed.
  • Meet monthly productivity targets and standards for timely completion of clinical documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and education requirements.
  • Participate in agency meetings, conferences, and training programs as recommended.
  • Travel to various Catholic Charities sites and other locations as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned within the guidelines of this position.
