The Department of Corrections program provides medication assisted therapy services to incarcerated individuals. The Therapist will provide assessment and treatment interventions consistent with the program model, conduct clinical and risk assessments, and collaborate with individuals to create individualized, person-centered treatment plans. The role requires demonstrating competency in age-related or specialty issues and developmental needs for each population served, working with clients to develop appropriate discharge plans utilizing natural support, and maintaining collaborative relationships with family members and other service providers. The Therapist will also provide crisis assessment and intervention, potentially provide care in various settings, maintain client and staff records, provide coverage for team members, participate in supervision and meetings, and may transport clients. Participation in required training and EBP certification is expected. In residential programs, therapists prioritize safety and physical presence, participating as full members of the milieu. Additional responsibilities may be assigned.
