In this role, you will provide comprehensive behavioral health services for individuals experiencing mental health and/or substance use challenges. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, establishing diagnoses, developing individualized treatment plans, providing individual, family, and group therapy services, coordinating care with treatment teams, responding to client crises, and maintaining clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory and accreditation standards. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Training and demonstrated expertise in diagnosing and treating mental health and/or substance use disorders
  • Strong knowledge of DSM diagnostic criteria, treatment planning, rehabilitation methods, and evidence-based practices
  • Experience providing counseling and psychotherapy services to individuals, families, and groups
  • Knowledge of legal requirements, court procedures, and ethical standards related to behavioral health treatment
  • Ability to manage caseloads effectively while maintaining high-quality clinical care
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to prepare concise clinical documentation
  • Must be willing to become licensed in additional states beyond the state currently licensed in
  • Must be comfortable providing telehealth services; training will be provided
  • Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance required
  • Successful completion of background checks, including criminal, driving, abuse/neglect, and fingerprint screenings
  • Must attain First Aid certification within three (3) months of employment and maintain certification thereafter
  • Must attain CPR certification within three (3) months of employment and maintain certification thereafter
  • Must complete Behavioral Management training within thirty (30) days of employment or first available class after start date
  • Must demonstrate understanding of Collaborative Service Goals (CSGs) within thirty (30) days of employment
  • Achievement of thirty-six (36) hours of training within a two-year period in accordance with 9 CSR 10-7.110 E 1
  • ASAM Programs Only: Achievement of fifty (50) hours of training annually
  • Knowledge of applicable program policies, procedures, regulations, and professional ethical standards
  • Ability to establish effective relationships through in-person, telephone, and telehealth interactions
  • Ability to follow direction, accept supervision, and contribute positively within a collaborative team environment
  • Perform primarily sedentary work, including extended periods of sitting
  • Frequently use hands, fingers, and arms for typing, writing, and computer-based documentation
  • Occasionally walk or stand throughout the workday
  • Occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 10 pounds of force
  • Maintain the physical ability to complete essential job functions in office, community, school, or telehealth-based settings as assigned

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, family, group, and specialty therapy services to support clients in achieving treatment goals
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, screenings, and evaluations to identify client needs and establish accurate diagnoses
  • Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and client progress
  • Facilitate trauma-informed and co-occurring disorder treatment services using evidence-based therapeutic approaches
  • Respond to crisis situations and coordinate emergency interventions when necessary to ensure client safety
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment teams and actively participate in clinical staffing and treatment meetings
  • Provide clinical consultation, guidance, and evidence-based practice recommendations to team members as needed
  • Coordinate care with internal departments to ensure timely authorization and delivery of services
  • Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and agency standards
  • Support client transition planning and complete discharge summaries, transition plans, and related correspondence
  • Represent the organization professionally within the community and maintain positive relationships with clients, referral sources, and colleagues
  • Assist with clinical supervision of individuals in training when professional requirements have been met
