About The Position

Join Wasatch Behavioral Health as a Full-Time Therapist at our American Fork Family Clinic (AFFC) in American Fork, Utah, and make a lasting impact in the lives of children, teens, adults, and families in your community. In this onsite role, you'll provide compassionate, evidence-based mental health care in a collaborative and supportive environment that values empathy, integrity, and innovation. Therapists in this position earn $28.50–$44.03/hour and work alongside a multidisciplinary team offering services such as individual, group, and family therapy, case management, medication management, peer support, psychological testing, and specialized treatment programs. AFFC clinicians support individuals experiencing a wide range of behavioral health challenges, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, behavioral concerns, and more. Requirements

  • Master's degree in social work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy.
  • Utah licensure as CSW, ACMHC, AMFT, LCSW, CMHC, or LMFT (or the ability to obtain it before starting).
  • Experience working with children preferred.
  • Solid skills in clinical assessment, treatment planning, and providing therapy.
  • Comfortable working with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a team.
  • Reliable with documentation and maintaining professional standards.
  • Committed to ethical practice and ongoing learning.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy services to children, teens, adults, and families
  • Complete comprehensive mental health assessments, treatment plans, and clinical documentation in a timely manner
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support clients experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, behavioral challenges, and other mental health concerns
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, case managers, peer support staff, nurses, and other members of the treatment team to coordinate client care
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment approaches based on individual needs and goals
  • Support clients and families in developing healthy coping skills, emotional regulation, communication, and problem-solving strategies
  • Participate in crisis intervention and safety planning when clinically appropriate
  • Maintain ethical, professional, and trauma-informed care practices in accordance with agency, state, and licensing standards
  • Provide referrals and connect clients with community resources and supportive services as needed
  • Participate in team meetings, trainings, supervision, and ongoing professional development opportunities
  • Help foster a welcoming, inclusive, and recovery-oriented environment for clients and families
