The Therapist provides outpatient mental health assessments and counseling services, along with provider education and consultation, through the CREATE (Co-designing Rich Environments for All to Thrive Everyday) program. Services may be provided in clients’ homes, in an office, or by telehealth. The program serves Duval County children and their parents, guardians, and caregivers who are referred for emotional, behavioral, or developmental concerns, including families with complex medical needs; youth transitioning from pediatric to adult care (HCT); and LGBTQ+ children and youth. Services are intended to stabilize families, parent-child relationships, or mental health, and to help prevent entry into formal systems of care. The position requires a master’s degree in Social Work or Mental Health from an accredited college or university and eligibility to become a registered intern with the State of Florida. One year of counseling experience and licensure are preferred. Applicants working as registered interns must meet state training requirements and arrange weekly clinical supervision.
