School-based Therapists work within their assigned primary or secondary schools to provide evaluations, brief treatment, and other interventions for students. Using evidence-based practices, School-based Therapists help students develop the skills needed to manage their mental health concerns more effectively. School-based therapists will coordinate with teachers, parents & families, school administration, and other service providers to ensure that each student is receiving the interventions and treatment they need. Depending on student volume and the number of schools supported, the Therapist may also spend time in the local outpatient clinic providing treatment and assessments for outpatient clients. Prior experience working with children and adolescents is required for this role. This position is based in our Ellensburg office and will support elementary, middle, and high school students in the Easton School District, Kittitas School District, and Thorp School District, in addition to maintaining an outpatient caseload of youth and adult clients. School-based Therapists work year-round and generally have a regular Monday-Friday 8am-5pm work schedule (some flexibility). Regular travel between the assigned schools and the local Comprehensive Healthcare office is expected.
