As a Therapist, you will provide individual, family, and group counseling services to clients experiencing mental health and/or substance use challenges. You will conduct assessments, establish diagnoses, develop individualized treatment plans, facilitate clinical interventions, support crisis response efforts, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure services are delivered in accordance with professional, regulatory, and agency standards. Requirements

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field
  • Current professional licensure in the applicable state of practice as a counselor, social worker, or marriage and family therapist
  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) required
  • Training and demonstrated expertise in diagnosing and treating individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorders
  • Knowledge of rehabilitation methods, treatment modalities, legal requirements, and therapeutic practices related to behavioral health treatment
  • Ability to develop, coordinate, and evaluate behavioral health services and treatment interventions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear and concise reports and documentation
  • Must be willing to become licensed in additional states as needed
  • Must be comfortable providing telehealth services; training will be provided
  • Current driver's license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance required
  • Successful completion of background screening including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect, and fingerprint checks
  • Must attain First Aid certification within three (3) months of employment and maintain certification upon renewal
  • Must attain CPR certification within three (3) months of employment and maintain certification upon renewal
  • Must attain required behavioral management training within thirty (30) days of employment or the first available class after hire
  • Achievement of thirty-six (36) training hours within a two-year period in accordance with applicable regulations
  • ASAM programs only: Achievement of fifty (50) hours of training annually
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships through in-person, telephone, and telehealth interactions
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply policies, procedures, safety regulations, and program requirements
  • Ability to accept supervision, collaborate effectively with others, and maintain professional ethical standards

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, family, group, and specialty counseling services to support clients in achieving their treatment goals
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, establish diagnoses, and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs
  • Facilitate therapeutic interventions using evidence-based practices for mental health and substance use treatment
  • Respond to crisis situations and coordinate emergency services when necessary to ensure client safety and wellbeing
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment teams and actively participate in clinical staffing and treatment planning meetings
  • Guide clients through transitions of care and complete required discharge and transition documentation
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and agency standards
  • Coordinate with internal departments to support authorization processes and continuity of services
  • Provide clinical consultation, mentorship, and guidance to team members and individuals in training when applicable
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, referral sources, community partners, and coworkers
  • Represent the organization professionally within the community and support organizational goals and initiatives
  • Complete required trainings and perform additional duties as assigned by leadership
