Jacksonville Youth Academy is a 24-bed, all-boys program dedicated to providing a safe, supportive environment where students can thrive and achieve their full potential. Requirements
- Master's degree in a behavioral health-related field (or equivalent as permitted).
- Current or eligible professional licensure.
- At least one year of experience working with adolescents in a residential or juvenile justice setting.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Pass all required background and medical screenings.
- Demonstrate strong clinical, communication, organizational, and computer skills.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Flexible schedule, including overtime as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provides individual, family, and group therapy to youth in a residential treatment setting.
- Maintains accurate clinical documentation.
- Develops treatment plans.
- Prepares progress and discharge reports.
- Provides crisis intervention.
- Collaborates with families and outside service providers.
- Supports client transportation for therapeutic services when needed.
- Ensures compliance with licensing, agency policies, and clinical standards.
- Promotes a safe and therapeutic environment by mentoring staff and students.
- Participates in quality improvement efforts.
- Attends required meetings and training.
- Maintains confidentiality and professional ethics.
- Conducts assessments (at designated locations).
- Supervises clinical staff (at designated locations).
- Coordinates with licensed mental health professionals (at designated locations).
- Oversees treatment planning (at designated locations).
