About The Position

Jacksonville Youth Academy is a 24-bed, all-boys program dedicated to providing a safe, supportive environment where students can thrive and achieve their full potential. Requirements

  • Master's degree in a behavioral health-related field (or equivalent as permitted).
  • Current or eligible professional licensure.
  • At least one year of experience working with adolescents in a residential or juvenile justice setting.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Pass all required background and medical screenings.
  • Demonstrate strong clinical, communication, organizational, and computer skills.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Flexible schedule, including overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provides individual, family, and group therapy to youth in a residential treatment setting.
  • Maintains accurate clinical documentation.
  • Develops treatment plans.
  • Prepares progress and discharge reports.
  • Provides crisis intervention.
  • Collaborates with families and outside service providers.
  • Supports client transportation for therapeutic services when needed.
  • Ensures compliance with licensing, agency policies, and clinical standards.
  • Promotes a safe and therapeutic environment by mentoring staff and students.
  • Participates in quality improvement efforts.
  • Attends required meetings and training.
  • Maintains confidentiality and professional ethics.
  • Conducts assessments (at designated locations).
  • Supervises clinical staff (at designated locations).
  • Coordinates with licensed mental health professionals (at designated locations).
  • Oversees treatment planning (at designated locations).
