About The Position

Oak Plains Academy, a UHS company, is seeking a dynamic and talented Therapist (MA/MSW) to join their team. Oak Plains Academy is a 98-bed residential treatment program for children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral issues, offering psychiatric residential treatment services. Residents receive individualized treatment plans, and a professional team of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, therapists, nurses, and teachers work together to treat trauma and build resiliency. The campus is located on 20 acres, about 45 minutes from Nashville, Tennessee, and includes a gymnasium, dining hall, academic building, and four dormitories. The Therapist will oversee therapeutic services for their caseload, acting as the treatment plan coordinator for the multi-disciplinary team in developing and implementing master treatment plans and discharge plans. This role involves working with the Department of Child Services for team meetings and court hearings, and completing necessary documentation. The Therapist will provide individual, group, and family therapy as required, participate in treatment planning, risk management assessment, and aftercare/discharge planning. They will also communicate with staff, treatment teams, and outside agencies regarding resident and family treatment and safety issues.

Requirements

Master’s degree in social work/clinical services field required
Licensed by the State of Tennessee in social work or related field, as a LPC, LCSW, or LMFT required
Eligibility for licensure track in social work or related field acceptable.
One to two years experience working with youth with emotional and/or behavioral diagnosis, required.
This role requires a successful background check, fingerprinting and employment verification
Valid Driver's License

Responsibilities

Oversee the therapeutic services provided to a caseload of residents.
Act as the treatment plan coordinator for the multi-disciplinary team in the development and implementation of the master treatment plan and the discharge plan for each resident.
Work with the Department of Child Services with regards to child family team meetings and court hearings.
Complete appropriate documentation.
Provide individual, group and family therapy for assigned residents.
Participate in subsequent treatment planning, risk management assessment and aftercare and discharge planning.
Actively communicate with staff, treatment teams, and outside agencies on treatment and safety issues pertaining to residents and their family members, caregivers and placement options.
