About The Position

The Carolina Center for Behavioral Health is currently looking for a Master's Level Therapist/Clinician to join their team. This is a PRN position where the individual will provide therapeutic services to patients, including group therapy, crisis intervention, and treatment planning. The Carolina Center for Behavioral Health is a 156-bed private behavioral health system located on 13 acres in the Greenville, South Carolina Area. They specialize in psychiatric programs and substance abuse treatments such as detox and rehab, serving patients in South Carolina and western North Carolina. Programs are available at various levels of care: inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient treatment.

Requirements

Master's degree in social work, psychology, mental health counseling or a similar educational degree required.
A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills.
Must have strong clinical assessment skills.

Nice To Haves

Licensure preferred
Addiction recovery and suicide prevention experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Facilitate therapy groups
Completes Psychosocial assessments
Maintains patient, program, department and related documentation
Effectively communicates with patient family or patient social support
Effective discharge planning skills
Effective oral and written communication skills
Participates in treatment care planning and helps implement treatment care plan
Substantial knowledge of therapeutic skills and can effectively use these skills to intervene with behavioral health patients
Participate in restraint and seclusion of patients when required
Supports hospital Service Excellence standards
Completes annual and other training in a timely manner
