About The Position

Brentwood Behavioral Healthcare is a 120-bed behavioral health facility providing psychiatric services for adults, children, and adolescents, offering both inpatient and outpatient services. Located in Flowood, MS, the facility aims to help individuals and families achieve optimal mental health and improve their quality of life through individualized treatment in a safe and nurturing environment. The facility is part of Universal Health Services (UHS), a large network of healthcare services. Brentwood Behavioral Healthcare is seeking a dynamic and talented Licensed Therapist for its Intake Department. The Social Worker/Therapist will be responsible for planning, providing, coordinating, and evaluating direct and indirect social services to patients. This includes group therapy, case management, discharge planning, and family meetings. The role requires maintaining documentation in accordance with hospital standards and regulatory requirements, developing and implementing Master Treatment Plans with clinical staff, and collaborating with physicians and families to ensure the therapeutic process is carried out effectively.

Requirements

Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
Current Mississippi license as a LCSW, LMSW, or LPC.
Two years’ experience in a psychiatric setting.

Responsibilities

Plans, provides, coordinates, and evaluates direct and indirect social services to patients.
Conducts group therapy, case management, and discharge planning.
Meets with patients and their families.
Maintains documentation on all required admission, treatment, and discharge documents.
Develops and implements the Master Treatment Plan with other clinical staff and updates it as needed.
Carries out treatment as outlined in the Master Treatment Plan for social services.
Collaborates with the physician and the family to ensure all aspects of the therapeutic process are implemented.
