Work at Willow Springs Center is a life path. Position Summary: The Therapist Intern will provide clinical services to patients in our Inpatient Program. Therapist-Interns make assessments, create treatment plans, serve as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team and document in the patient chart interactions with patients and family as well as the patient's progress toward reaching treatment goals. Therapist Interns also engage in discharge planning activities. The Therapist Intern provides group, individual and family therapy activities and collaborates with community providers, social service agencies and other therapeutic programs. Therapist-Interns are called upon to perform crisis intervention and to address hostile behaviors in accordance with facility approved interventions.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy or similar field.
  • Must possess licensure as an LCSW-Intern, LCPC-Intern or MFT-Intern.
  • Will be required to submit evidence of licensure at the time of interview.
  • Applicant must obtain LCSW license OR LCPC license within 6 months of completion of intern hours to maintain employment.

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of one year of clinical experience in a psychiatric or mental health treatment setting preferred.
  • DBT training a plus.
