About The Position

At Heartland Family Service’s Crisis Stabilization and Resource Center (CSRC), every shift is an opportunity to help individuals in crisis find stability and hope. The CSRC is a voluntary, residential-based stabilization program that serves as a 3-to-5-day bridge between crisis and community. Clients receive daily access to therapy, medication management, and case management in a safe, secure environment designed to de-escalate and stabilize. The program also provides individualized outpatient resources and community referrals, with limited respite bed availability. This is an active, dynamic program where skilled clinicians drive real outcomes in a compressed timeframe.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage & Family Therapy
  • Nebraska licensure: LIMHP, LMHP, or LCSW
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of clinical experience, especially in crisis or inpatient settings
  • Experience with co-occurring disorders and diverse populations

Responsibilities

  • Lead comprehensive adult mental health assessments within 24 hours of admission
  • Co-create individualized stabilization plans that center the client’s voice and immediate needs
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions daily, using evidence-based approaches tailored to co-occurring disorders
  • Deliver skilled crisis intervention and de-escalation in real time
  • Mentor and train direct care staff in therapeutic tools and approaches
  • Collaborate with team members, families, and community partners to build a strong aftercare bridge
  • Maintain timely, high-quality clinical documentation (stabilization plans, progress notes, treatment summaries)
  • Champion referrals to internal HFS programs and external community resources
  • Model the agency’s values — bringing a courteous, caring presence to every interaction
