About The Position

The Behavioral Health Therapist provides individual, group, and family therapy services to children, adolescents, and/or adults based on program population. This role utilizes evidence-based practices to address mental health conditions, substance use disorders, and co-occurring challenges. The Therapist is responsible for conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, delivering counseling services, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure individuals receive comprehensive, person-centered care.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related human services field
  • Act 33/34 Clearances (if required by program)
  • FBI Clearance (as applicable)
  • Completion of all required trainings for licensure
  • Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
  • Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR/EMR) systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience providing therapy in behavioral health and/or substance use settings preferred
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices in mental health and addiction treatment

Responsibilities

  • Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and intake evaluations, including treatment recommendations
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based practices
  • Deliver services to individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorders
  • Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans
  • Maintain an active caseload and engage clients in ongoing treatment
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment interventions as needed
  • Maintain tracking systems for treatment plans, documentation, and program compliance
  • Participate in clinical team meetings to review treatment goals, progress, and discharge planning
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Ensure all documentation meets agency, regulatory, and funder requirements
  • Provide supervision and guidance to non-licensed therapists or counselors as required for licensure
  • Maintain professionalism and ethical standards at all times
  • Demonstrate flexibility with scheduling based on program needs
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support program operations
