Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) at Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) is an evidence-based practice that improves outcomes for people with severe mental illness who are most at-risk of psychiatric crisis, hospitalization, and involvement in the criminal justice system. ACT is one of the oldest and most widely researched evidence-based practices in behavioral healthcare for people with severe mental illness. We are hiring a Master's level Unlicensed Therapist (MA in counseling with a LSW or LPCC), a Licensed Therapist (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT), or an Unlicensed/Licensed Psychologist who has healthy boundaries, strong clinical skills, and flexibility. The ideal candidate possesses humility, strong character, and openness to a team-centered culture. ACT Therapists must be able to adapt to changing situations well. About the role. The ACT Therapist meets with individuals in the community as well as in the office to deliver treatment. This position works in tandem with a multidisciplinary team culture. You do not need expertise with our clientele, but you must be committed to the effort of learning how to best help this population.
