New Horizon Community Care (NHCC) is hiring Behavioral Health Technicians for its Therapeutic Recreation Program, an after-school behavioral health program serving youth and young adults navigating behavioral, emotional, and social challenges. The program combines recreation with evidence-informed therapeutic approaches, including trauma-informed care, cognitive behavioral strategies, mentorship, and structured activities. Technicians work alongside clinical and program teams to help participants build confidence, resilience, healthy coping skills, and positive relationships. This active, hands-on role uses sports, movement, games, art, group activities, and skill-building experiences to support participants in practicing skills they can use at school, at home, in relationships, and in everyday life. The position includes four 10-hour shifts. Chandler schedules run Sunday through Wednesday; Phoenix schedules run Wednesday through Saturday. Pay is $23–$27 per hour, based on education and relevant behavioral health experience. A $500 sign-on bonus is offered for the Phoenix location only. NHCC describes its work environment as inclusive and committed to accessible, equitable, and culturally responsive behavioral health services. All positions are safety-sensitive. The company prohibits alcohol and drug-related activity on company premises and in vehicles used for company business or parked on company property. Applicants must complete criminal history self-disclosure affidavits and obtain an Arizona DPS Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card, which involves state and federal criminal background checks.
