About The Position

The THBC model is designed to support children, this type of specialised foster care is known in the sector as Therapeutic Home Based Care (THBC). It involves one-on-one home based care for children and young people who have complex care needs by providing them with stable, nurturing, and therapeutic home environments. You will be supported by a team of professionals, including therapeutic specialists, to ensure you have the resources and guidance needed to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Embrace the strengths and needs of children and young people, ensuring they receive the clinical and therapeutic support they require.
• Consistently meet the care needs of children with high and complex needs, participating in essential training programs to enhance your skills.
• Actively participate in Care Team Meetings, working under the supervision of a Therapeutic Specialist to implement therapeutic strategies.
• Engage in frequent and transparent communication with the care team, providing regular updates and receiving guidance.
• Welcome increased support and guidance within your home to facilitate therapeutic care planning.
• Participate in ongoing accredited training and reflective practice to continually develop your skills and understanding.
