About The Position

NEON is seeking a Theatrical Distribution Intern for the Fall 2026 semester. This internship is designed for individuals who are analytically sharp, detail-oriented, and passionate about how independent films connect with their audiences. The intern will collaborate with the theatrical distribution team on practical projects, including tracking box office performance, supporting film releases, assisting with exhibitor outreach, and coordinating screenings and in-person activations. This role offers hands-on experience in the process of bringing a film from acquisition to the big screen. NEON's internships are focused on meaningful work that contributes to the success of films. The program provides an opportunity for students to understand the inner workings of independent film distribution, build industry connections, and receive mentorship from experienced professionals. This internship is part of NEON's Undergraduate Internship Program, offering a comprehensive experience beyond a single department. Interns will engage in structured programming, gain cross-functional exposure across the company, and participate in professional development with a cohort of peers.

  • Must reside in the LA area.
  • Hold a valid driver’s license.
  • Have access to a car.
