About The Position

This is a Community Service Work Study student employment position. Applicants must have Federal Work Study funds in their Financial Aid package. This position is an excellent opportunity for students interested in gaining hands-on experience in the world of professional theater production while contributing to our vibrant artistic community. Your responsibilities primarily include front of house & box office support, social media marketing, volunteer coordination, administrative assistance, and may include assisting with set construction, lighting and sound setup, stage management tasks, and general production support. You will work closely with our leadership team, gaining valuable insights into the behind-the-scenes aspects of live theater. This role requires a strong commitment to teamwork and attention to detail.

Requirements

  • Must have Federal Work Study Funds in Financial Aid package
  • Must be available for most afternoon & evening shifts (some conflicts okay): Thurs-Sat evenings 6:30-9:30pm and Sunday afternoons 1-4pm on the following dates: Aug 24-Sept 21, 2026, Oct 30 – Nov, 23, 2026, Feb 5 – Mar 1, 2027, March 12-29, 2027
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Proficiency in using Google Workplace (formerly G Suite) applications, including Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Calendar, for communication, documentation, and scheduling purposes
  • Must be in good academic standing
  • Driver’s License and a reliable vehicle to get to and from 21ten Theatre

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience
  • Experience with WIx Website platform
  • Experience with Social Media Marketing sites like Instagram and Facebook
  • Experience with Square POS
  • Enthusiasm for and interest in theater, live productions and the arts
  • Previous admin experience for a non profit
  • Prior experience in theater, either in a school or community setting
  • Past experience or knowledge in social media marketing/brand marketing
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to various production tasks
  • Basic knowledge of stagecraft, including set construction and lighting
  • Ability to take direction and work collaboratively with a diverse team
  • Reliability and commitment to fulfilling assigned responsibilities
