About The Position
Vermont State University is seeking a part-time instructor in theater for the Lyndon campus. This role involves teaching and directing specific theater and musical theater production courses, collaborating with the Twilight Players, and mentoring students.
Requirements
- Experience working with college-age students
- Experience directing straight plays and musicals
- Ability to collaborate with a team
- MA in Theater or equivalent experience
Responsibilities
- Teaching THA 2002 Theater Production (fall semesters)
- Teaching MUS 2002 Musical Theater Production (spring semesters)
- Directing the fall play and the spring musical in connection with the Twilight Players
- Engaging with and mentoring students
- Keeping regular office hours
- Being available to students for consultation
- Encouraging and allowing students the time in class to complete student evaluation forms
