About The Position

This position is a 0.6 FTE located at Dorothy Hamm Middle School. The teacher will be responsible for preparing theater students for in-school and outside performance opportunities, working effectively with the fine arts team, and staying current with arts-related technology and best practices. The role requires a flexible, dependable, and highly organized individual with a desire to work with a diverse community of learners. The teacher must also utilize best practices in maintaining theater practice and performance spaces.

Requirements

• Experience working with diverse student population
• Successful teaching experience and curricular knowledge
• Experience implementing best practices in Theater Instruction
• Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure
• Must be endorsed in Theater

Nice To Haves

• Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education, or in any other content area, is preferred but not required.
