About The Position

Under direct supervision, the Student Assistant will work under the lead work direction of the Theatre Arts department Administrative Support Coordinator who will delegate day-to-day tasks and duties for the department. The primary purpose of the job is to assist the Theatre Arts department office by being the first point of contact for visitors to the office.

Read and write English at a level appropriate to the position
Admission or registration as a CSU student
Maintain a 2.0 G.P.A. or greater per semester and cumulative
Students must be enrolled in at least halftime units at CSUSB (6 units undergraduate; 3 units graduate)
International students must have full-time enrollment at CSUSB. (12 units undergraduate; 6 units graduate)
Eligible to work in the United States
Social Security Card

Responsibilities

Assist the Theatre Arts department with day-to-day office operations.
Provide general office support such as greet visitors (students, faculty, guests), answer phone/take messages, restock supplies, distribute mail, post flyers, deliver and pick up documents.
Perform other duties as assigned, such as organizing files, distributing locks for department lockers, delivering packages to department shops, etc.
Assist the department ASC with projects such as archiving files, cataloging resources, etc.
