Textiles Processor
About The Position
Goodwill Industries of Mid-Michigan is seeking motivated, team-building individuals to fill a Full-Time Textiles Processor position at their Flint Twp store. This role involves sorting and evaluating clothing and home decor for retail stores, properly sorting salvage by category, and meeting hourly goals with tenacity and precision. The company's mission is to assist individuals with barriers to employment in making the transition to independence and self-sufficiency, and profits fund programs that help people find work. They also emphasize recycling, having kept over 8 million lbs. of materials from landfills in 2023.
Requirements
- Work well on a team
- Ability to distinguish colors
- Ability to lift and carry 35 pounds with or without help
- Ability to reach, bend and stoop
- Able to stand six to eight hours a day
- Ability to learn and utilize safe lifting techniques
- Pleasant, cheerful and professional demeanor
