About The Position

Now Hiring: Full-Time Textiles Consultant & Sales Associate - Join Our Creative Retail Team!
Are you passionate about home design, textiles, and customer service? We are a locally owned furniture and home accessories retailer seeking a Full-Time Textiles Consultant & Sales Associate to join our Textiles Department - which now includes our full bedding collection alongside fabrics, upholstery, and home décor. If you have strong attention to detail, a drive for excellence, and love helping customers bring their design visions to life, we want to hear from you!

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Strong verbal communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
• Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable thriving in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift fabric bolts up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Comfortable using a ladder to retrieve and stock merchandise
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Weekend availability required: All sales associates should expect to work at least one weekend day regularly

Nice To Haves

• Degree in Textiles or Interior Design a plus
• Previous experience in retail, textiles, or customer service preferred
• Shopify experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Greet and guide customers in selecting fabrics, upholstery materials, and bedding to match their design vision
• Provide expert advice on fabric types, textures, patterns, color coordination, and bedding options
• Measure, cut, and document fabric orders with accuracy and efficiency
• Record custom orders in Shopify and track order status through to completion
• Maintain well-stocked, organized fabric and bedding samples and sales floor displays
• Keep Shopify inventory accurate and ensure new products are shoppable online
• Handle, lift, and store fabric bolts with care (up to 50 lbs)
• Maintain a clean, safe, and visually appealing workspace
• Cross-train to support other departments (Workroom, Retail Floor) during peak times
• Collaborate with the Textiles Manager and cross-functional teams on seasonal projects and department initiatives
