2nd Shift- Textile Machine Operator
About The Position
This is a temp-to-full-time, entry-level position for a Textile Machine Operator on the 2nd shift in the STX yellow building. The role involves setting up machines according to production instructions using fiberglass and other raw materials. Responsibilities include independently ensuring quality requirements, monitoring production for malfunctions, correcting minor issues, and reporting irregularities. The operator will also maintain workplace cleanliness, care for equipment, package goods, and perform shift handovers with clear communication to ensure continuous machine operation.
Requirements
- Good command of the English language, verbally and in writing.
- Mechanical, Electrical or Textile qualification and training records.
Nice To Haves
- SAP user knowledge is beneficial, but not essential.
Responsibilities
- Machine setup according to specified production instructions, using a given set of fiberglass and other raw materials.
- Independent assurance of quality requirements, before, during and after a production run.
- Careful observation of the running production to detect malfunctions at an early stage.
- Correction of minor malfunctions and support for major repairs, as well as pointing out irregularities to your supervisor.
- Maintaining order and cleanliness of the workplace, as well as care of technical equipment, machines and systems for safety and quality reasons.
- Packaging and documentation of the goods according to the applicable requirements.
- Shift handover with focus on clear communication and a continuously running machine.
