Texas Robotics is an interdisciplinary program composed of 18 core robotics faculty from the Departments of Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, and Aerospace Engineering & Engineering Mechanics. At Texas Robotics we perform groundbreaking research, deliver transformative education, and make a broad positive impact through community outreach. We are passionate about advancing key areas such as long-term autonomy, robot manipulation, medical robotics, and human-robot interaction, with crosscutting emphasis on artificial intelligence, machine learning, and societal impacts—all while drawing on the breadth of expertise at UT Austin. This position offers a lot of opportunities to expand your skills, knowledge, and ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders including students, staff, faculty, industry affiliates, and community members. It's suited for someone who likes customer service, event logistics, problem-solving and has the ability to work independently as well as on a team, multi-task, create and document work processes, and stay organized. Texas Robotics is seeking a graduate Student Associate to manage weekly administrative tasks, provide event support, and to lead tours of our research facility. The majority of Texas Robotics operations are located in Anna Hiss Gymnasium (AHG), although you may find yourself completing work in the Gates-Dell Complex (GDC), the Engineering Education and Research Center (EER) and/or other buildings on campus.
