Responsibilities

  • Execute sample preparation prior to the conformance evaluation of bulk polysilicon, surface polysilicon, and chemicals.
  • Develop proficiency for the proper handling of samples to avoid contamination and following the strict protocol of sample conditioning prior to testing.
  • Collect data on samples measured using various analytical instruments such as spectrometers, gas chromatographs, microscopes, and titrators.
  • Analyze data collected on samples to determine the properties and composition of samples.
  • Use software tools to process and visualize the data.
  • Record data and verify the accuracy and reliability of the data through calibration and validation of instruments.
  • Review data produced by the analysis of samples verifying the adherence of the data to meet the required standards and specifications.
  • Contribute to decisions of the disposition of material batches based on the data analysis, which could involve approving batches for shipment or identifying batches that need rework or rejection.
  • Operate Spectrophotometric Instruments including Photoluminescence, FTIR, GC, Agilent 7900s ICP-MS, and Perkin Elmer DRC-ICP-MS.
  • Prepare samples for analysis.
  • Calibrate instruments and perform daily quality checks.
  • Maintain calibration standards and analytical solutions.
  • Follow fault tree protocols for re-testing and verification.
  • Enter data into the LIMS system.
  • Clean analytical labware.
  • Manage acids, distillers, and stock rotation.
  • Perform tests according to ISO standards and document for ISO compliance.
  • Adhere to IATF requirements.
  • Troubleshoot various lab equipment.
