About The Position

Oak Park and River Forest High School (OPRF) is seeking individuals to support the testing functions of the Assessment & Analytics Department. This role involves administering and proctoring exams, monitoring students in testing rooms, and ensuring the security of exams before and after completion. Proctors must be aware of the materials or equipment test takers may use during the testing period, verify examinee identification, ensure examinees include all necessary information on the test, dismiss examinees, organize test papers, and complete all administrative forms for the tests they supervise. OPRF is a comprehensive public high school committed to diversity and preparing students for post-secondary success.   • Must be at least 21 years of age

Responsibilities

  • Administering and proctoring exams
  • Monitoring students in testing rooms
  • Ensuring the security of exams before and after completion
  • Being aware of the materials or equipment test takers may use during the testing period
  • Verifying that the right examinees are present in the room by checking their identification
  • Making sure that the examinees include all necessary information, such as their names, on the test
  • Dismissing the examinees and organizing the test papers
  • Maintaining test security to ensure confidentiality, the integrity of test materials, and test procedures
  • Lifting or transporting test materials to/from testing room
  • Maintaining a professional and pleasant atmosphere to create an environment for optimal test performance for all examinees
  • Interacting with examinees
  • Assisting Proctor and/or Testing Specialist with test administration
  • Assisting in checking in or seating examinees
  • Following all written and oral directions provided by the Testing Specialist
  • Organizing, distributing and collecting all test materials as directed
