About The Position

The Testing Coordinator assists patients navigating the psychological assessment process by scheduling the appropriate follow up appointments, explaining the process, and answering questions from patients.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
1-year prior healthcare experience preferred
Knowledge of HIPAA and other healthcare related regulations
Customer service focus
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with patients, families, supervisors, and community members across diverse socioeconomic, educational, and demographic backgrounds
Proficient in utilizing technology resources such as electronic health records (EHR), Microsoft Office, phone systems, and customer management platforms
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Collaborative and team oriented
Flexible, adaptable, and able to move between tasks regularly
Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
Ability to move about the office and occasionally transport items weighing up to 20 pounds.
Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods (e.g., sitting at a desk)
Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, filing, and other administrative tasks
Ability to use standard office equipment including laptop, phone, copier/printer
Ability to read and interpret documents on a computer screen and/or in paper format
Capable of communicating effectively in person, over the phone, and in written format
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both verbal and written forms
Able to participate in meetings and convey information accurately and professionally
Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail for extended periods
Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously and meeting deadlines
Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance

Responsibilities

Follows multi -step scheduling procedure, providing support to both clients and providers as needed
As needed, answers calls or other contact from patients; engages professionally, courteously, and with a high level of customer service with all individuals
Identifies and resolves the client's needs and issues as they arise to ensure quality patient service
Follow Testing team protocol for handling inquiries as they arise
Participates as an active member of the Assessments team
Maintains positive, professional relationships with teams across the organization and with outside referral resources
Quotes insurance price and provides brief explanation of benefits.
Maintains working knowledge of the different types of testing provided and relevant patient time commitments to provide a comprehensive explanation to the patient and/or guardian
As needed, follows up with patients to confirm arrival and/or reschedule as needed
Ensures compliance with all policies and procedures, including maintaining patient confidentiality, as well as compliance with best practices and regulatory agencies
Communicates effectively within the organization, providing regular updates to supervisors and peers about current and completed tasks
