About The Position

This role coordinates the full process of testing accommodations—from scheduling and exam preparation to proctoring, supervision of readers/scribes, and maintenance of secure, accessible testing environments—and ensures compliance with ADA, Section 504, and institutional accessibility policies, while providing guidance to students and faculty on testing accommodations. The incumbent will be expected to observe an unpaid work break two months out of the year. Typically, the unpaid work breaks are expected to be in June and July, but the dates may vary each year. This position does not offer visa sponsorship. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire. Selected candidates will be required to verify eligibility to work in the United States by completing the required I-9 form upon hire.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as evidenced through content of the cover letter and/or resume
  • Demonstrated ability of exceptional multitasking, organization, and time management skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft 365 Suite (e.g., Outlook, Word Excel, Teams)
  • At least one year of work experience in an office environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in an office environment

  • Knowledge of disability laws and regulations including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 504, and Section 508

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and administer testing accommodations using an online accommodation management system.
  • Prepare, proctor, and secure exams in accordance with approved accommodations and academic integrity standards.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for students and faculty regarding testing accommodation procedures.
  • Train, schedule, and supervise exam proctors, readers, and scribes.
  • Maintain accurate records, protect confidential student information, and ensure exam security.
  • Support day‑to‑day operations of the Accessibility Resource Center and contribute to service improvements.
  • Schedules logistics and secures resources for meetings, conferences, travel, and work unit operations
  • Sends, receives, copies, and distributes communications to the appropriate entities according to established policies and procedures under general supervision
  • Collects, analyzes, and prepares various communication materials from established sources utilizing technology mediums
  • Serves as a first point of contact for individuals and groups, provides basic organizational information via phone, in person and through other communication mediums, and routes more complex inquiries to the appropriate entities
  • Maintains established methods and organizational systems directed at the maintenance of electronic/physical records related to work operations according to established policies and procedures
