About The Position

The Testing Services team seeks to support the mission of BJU Press by helping home school families and schools maintain compliance with state regulations by providing objective measurements of academic achievement to inform educators of student growth through standardized testing. This role will assist by offering first-line assistance to customer questions and issues via email and phone. Additionally, the employee will provide communication within the department as well as assistance with catalog and website writing and editing. They will also assist with training and instructional elements of departmental and inter-departmental needs in relation to all areas of BJU Press Testing Services.

Requirements

• Writing and/or editorial skills
• Strongly detail-oriented
• Willingness to work as a team player, doing whatever task is needed
• Supportive of homeschooling
• General computer aptitude
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor’s degree
• Three years of related experience
• Must be a born-again Christian who has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Must agree with and affirm the Bob Jones University creed, mission and core biblical doctrines.
• Employees are expected to maintain a conservative lifestyle and support the group’s positions on issues such as beverage alcohol and addictive substances, creation, marriage and human sexuality and the sanctity of life.
• Employees are to be active members of a local Bible-believing church which holds orthodox theology.
• Must be committed to providing students an excellent, world-class education from a biblical worldview that prepares them for a lifetime of service for Jesus Christ.

Responsibilities

• Assist with writing and editing website and catalog information
• Process standardized tests at various stages in the process
• Assist with training new personnel and inter-departmental instructional sessions
• Communicate with customers via email and phone
• Prepare test booklets for recirculation
