About The Position

The Tester I tests products, models, and subassemblies using established procedures, programs, standard work, and work instructions. The role requires interpreting schematics and drawings, troubleshooting and documenting issues, and completing minor repairs within takt time. The Tester I follows company and site safety and quality requirements, maintains a clean work environment, and may flex to other departments or perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of experience troubleshooting and/or wiring in a manufacturing environment.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to implement appropriate countermeasures.
Intermediate PC knowledge.
Understanding of the testing process.
Ability to perform basic reading and math functions.
Basic manufacturing assembly skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Positive and professional work ethic.

Responsibilities

Comply with company and site safety and quality policies, processes, and procedures.
Maintain a clean work environment and comply with 5S standards.
Follow established procedures, processes, and policies.
Use standard work, programs, and work instructions to test products, models, and subassemblies.
Interpret schematics and drawings to test products correctly.
Troubleshoot and document products, models, and subassemblies to meet quality standards.
Perform minor repairs according to work instructions and standard work within takt time; refer major repairs to appropriate resources.
Collaborate on improving processes, lead times, productivity, and cost using the DTZ process.
Obtain and renew safety certification as needed to move and/or test products, models, and subassemblies.
Perform additional duties as assigned, including flexing to other departments.
